This Organizational Innovation course is designed to provide a deep understanding of the importance of innovation in the context of modern organizations and how innovation can be a key driver of competitive advantage and sustainable business growth. Participants will explore various definitions and types of innovation, analyze internal and external factors influencing the innovation process, and understand methods for measuring innovation. The course will also discuss the role of leadership in fostering an innovation culture and overcoming potential barriers.
The course design approach is self-paced with a combination of lecture-based and project-based, allowing participants to learn at their own pace while applying innovation concepts in real-world case studies. The mode of instruction will be predominantly asynchronous through video lectures, readings, quizzes, and discussion forums, with the potential for optional synchronous sessions for Q&A or in-depth case studies. Study materials will include videos, journal articles, case studies, and current references. The primary technology used will be the Open edX platform or in the IDOLS UI (UI Moocs Platform)
